Bobby Womack Left Behind Monstrous Debt, Family Working To Pay Off

Bobby Womack’s family is doing all they can to pay the late singer’s monstrous debt he left behind.

TMZ first broke the story, following Womack’s June death, his widow, Regina, filed court docs in L.A. claiming he owed $250K in back child support for two sons living in Ft. Wayne, IN. Per the news outlet, Womack also had unpaid loan for $400K when he passed away.

Womack, most known for his 80’s track, “If You Think You’re Lonely Now,” did however have a few assets to his name. Per the court records, he had $52K in cash and $7,250 in personal belongings, which included some jewelry and a 1974 Buick.

The good news is, Bobby had rights and royalties to his music, which amounted to $350K. This means they can use that money to help with the debt.
Womack died in his sleep late June at the age of 80. Prior to the star’s death, he battled diabetes, pneumonia, colon cancer and the early signs of Alzheimer’s.
HipHollywood reached out to a rep for the family and are waiting on word back.
