Ashlee Simpson And Evan Ross Tie The Knot, Diana Ross Officiates

Published

Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross are officially husband and wife.

The couple tied the knot on Sunday during an intimate ceremony in Greenwich, Connecticut. Simpson, 29 and Ross, 26, were joined by their family and friends as they exchanged vows at the estate of Evan’s mother, Diana Ross. According to E! News, The Supremes’ singer also officiated the wedding.

Ashlee’s older sister, Jessica was the maid of honor, while family friend and wife of Donald Faison, CaCee Cobb served as one of the bridesmaids. As for who walked the starlet down the aisle … Simpson’s 5 1/2-year-old son, Bronx.

“We just want to be married. We’re in love,” Evan told E! at SXSW in Austin back in March. “This is the most incredible time I could ever think of in my life and I’m young, but the same time, I’ve lived a different life than most and I can’t think of a happier moment.”

The two lovebirds got engaged in January 2014. This is the first marriage for Evan and the second for Ashlee, who married Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz back in 2008. Simpson and Wentz ended their marriage in 2011.

Congratulations to Ashlee and Evan.

That’s right almost a million bucks — $996,631.90 to be exact — was slotted for Drake to shoot the visuals for his latest hit but instead he used all the money to make a difference. And in doing so, he made us cry … multiple times. Just watch the video below.

In a statement the self-professed “6god” said this video was “the most important thing” he’s ever done. We’d agree.
