Soulja Boy Added To Cast Of ‘Love & HipHop LA’

Soulja Boy has been added to the cast of Love & HipHop LA.

According to TMZ, the rapper has been added to the cast in efforts to make the forthcoming VH1 reality show a little juicier. A source tells the news outlet that the show has been having a hard time creating story lines and that the cast involved just isn’t entertaining enough. The producers wanted to add another big name rapper to hopefully shake things up.

As previously reported, the Love & HipHop LA cast includes Ray J, Teairra Mari (Ray J’s ex-girlfriend, Princess Love, Morgan Hardman (Ray J’s assistant), Omarion, Apryl Jones (Omarion’s baby mama), Yung Berg, Yesi Ortiz and Miss Joie (Bow Wow’s baby mama).

A source close to Ray J, who is also the show’s executive producer, tells TMZ that the singer is thrilled about the new addition.

HipHollywood caught up with Yung Berg in June about the reality show, but the rapper/writer was rather coy when discussing what fans can expect. “I don’t know what’s going on, but ya’ll know I’m a character so stay tuned. I can’t confirm or not confirm anything, but I know they’re shooting.”

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
