Ray J Pleads No Contest, Sentenced To Probation, Community Service, Alcohol Therapy

Ray J is counting his lucky stars.

On Thursday, the singer’s lawyer struck a pretty amazing plea deal in connection with the sexual battery and assault case in Beverly Hills. Judge Edward Moreton sentenced the star to three years probation, 50 hours of community service and ordered the 33-year-old to attend alcohol therapy and anger management classes.

The singer plead no contest to misdemeanor trespassing. As for the charges of sexual battery, assault on a police officer, and resisting arrest, they will all be dismissed.

Back in May, Ray was taken into custody after getting into a little altercation at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. The singer was at the hotel bar when he was accused of grabbing a woman’s butt. Law enforcement responded to a sexual battery complaint, but it was later revealed that the butt grab was accidental.

Ray J was asked to leave the bar but when he went to get his car at valet, he became belligerent and unruly. Ray was eventually detained. While in custody, Brandy’s little brother spit on an officer and kicked out a window of the cop car.

The double-disc album, 32-track, gospel album is the first of its kind from Snoop, and while not everyone is receptive, the Doggfather knows he’s fulfilling his purpose. “I stepped in the world (of gospel) to say, hold on, let me take my light … and put it on this gospel gang with some of the most extraordinary singers you’ve ever heard in your life,” Snoop stated.

And that he did!
