It’s no secret that the Kardashian clan had a ball of fun the week leading up to Kim and Kanye’s lavish Italian nuptials. In fact, one Kardashian had so much fun, she almost didn’t make it down the aisle.
Kim stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday night and during her chat with the late night talkshow host, she revealed that her sister Khloe got a little too inebriated at Versailles the night before the wedding.
“Khloé drank a little too much, so I had to wake her up,” Kim said. “She was laying down sleeping getting her makeup done for the wedding, and I’m just praying she’ll get up in time to walk down the aisle.”
She continued, “They had to do it while she was sleeping because she was so hungover. I think everyone had just such a good time at Versailles that they just drank way too much.”
Kim also opened up about the wedding and why she and Kanye West chose to wed in Florence. “We kind of wanted everyone to be on this love journey with us,” she explained. “We fell in love in Paris, and then I got pregnant with our daughter in Florence. So, we kind of wanted to share our love story with our friends and family. I think everyone just really had an amazing time.”
The couple tied the knot over Memorial Day weekend at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence. There were reports that during the reception, Kanye delivered a 45-minute toast, but according to Kim, it was more like 20. “It wasn’t about himself. It was about us and everyone that was there. We had this long table that everyone was eating at on the wedding. Instead of having place cards, we engraved everyone’s names in this marble table. He was explaining to everyone that we engraved their names because everyone is engraved in our hearts. Everyone that’s there was so special to us.”
