Social media exploded with an outpour of emotions and responses following the death of the late great, Robin Williams. The actor, who passed away on Monday of an apparent suicide, touched so many lives, including Hollywood’s very own.
Kevin Hart took to Twitter to express his heartache, writing:
“I’m speechless….RIP To a COMEDIC GENIUS!!!! Gone but not forgotten. #RIPROBINWILLIAMS
Rihanna tweeted: “Heartbreaking news about the late Robin Williams. May his soul now be at peace!”
Comedian and actor, Ben Stiller posted a lengthy message on Twitter, which read:
“A tweet cannot begin to describe the hugeness of Robin Williams heart and soul and talent. This is so sad. #RobinWilliams. OK, I’ll try. I met him when I was 13 and a huge fan and he was so kind and I watched him be kind to every fan i ever saw him with. And with other actors he was so generous and brilliant. He made everyone feel special and equal around him even though he was the genius. His heart was so big and even if you didn’t know him, what he gave everyone was that same spirit in his work, so we all felt it. His impact on the world was so positive. He did so much good for people. He made me and so many people laugh so hard for a very long time. And because they don’t really tweet, this message represents all the Stillers (Jerry, Anne and Amy) who Robin was a great friend to. xxxxx.”
Kim Kardashian tweeted:
“At first I didn’t believe it. But it’s true. RIP Robin Williams. The world will miss you dearly.”
Williams was found unconscious and not breathing inside his home in Northern Ca. on Monday just before noon … He was pronounced dead at 12:02 pm.
The assistant chief deputy coroner of Marin County said in a statement that the division “suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia.” A forensic examination is scheduled for Tuesday with subsequent toxicology testing to be conducted.
According to reports, the actor, who has battled drug and alcohol addiction in the past, checked himself into rehab just weeks before his apparent suicide.
