Renaissance Man: Ludacris Receives Top Honor In Music!

Ludacris is a man of many talents and now the Atlanta rapper is receiving acknowledgment for his exemplary work.

BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.) will honor Luda with the President’s Awards at the 2014 BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards. The star-studded event draws the entire entertainment community together to celebrate the songwriters, producers and publishers of the most-performed r&b/hip-hop songs of the previous year.

“The President’s Award is bestowed to an individual who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in songwriting with profound global influence on culture and the entertainment industry,” said Mike O’Neill, BMI President & CEO. “Christopher ‘Ludacris’ Bridges’ songs traverse boundaries and reach listeners of all genres, making him a global presence. Additionally, his philanthropic efforts go beyond measure with the work he does by way of his charitable organization, The Ludacris Foundation, making him a natural for the BMI President’s Award.”

As the 2014 honoree, Ludacris will join elite ranks that include will.i.am, Adam Levine, Carlos Vives, Taylor Swift and Pitbull. The BMI R&B/Hip-Hop Awards will be held Friday, August 22, at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.

Currently, Ludacris is an expert on ABC singing competition show, “Rising Star”, he’s also in the studio working on a new album and he will be seen on the big screen again in Fast and Furious 7 next year.

Girl Power Prevails At The 2017 American Music Awards

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
