Public Enemy’s Chuck D Is Calling Iggy Azalea A Racist

Published

on

Chuck D has no love for Iggy Azalea and he is letting the world know.

On Wednesday night, the Public Enemy rapper took to Twitter and reposted a screenshot of an alleged tweet from Azalea’s account. The tweet contains a picture of the “Fancy” star standing next to Drake, B.O.B. and T.I. and a caption where she is referring to them as her “n*ggas”.

Chuck who has spoken out publicly in the past against Black artists using the N-word was not happy, captioning the image:

“@MrChuckD: a new straight path to slavery Here comes a endorsed sanctioned CORPlantation artist with A line straight out of 1853″

But after finding out that Iggy had never posted this tweet or caption, Chuck didn’t back down, recant his statement or delete the tweet. Instead he pushed further into his allegations of Iggy being a racist with the following tweet:

Screen Shot 2014-07-10 at 8.29.36 AMThis isn’t the first time the 24-year-old Australian native has been called out for being racist. The bulk of the accusations of racism began in 2012 when she released the song “D.R.U.G.S.” where she boasted that she was a “runaway slave master,”

Tire marks, tire marks, finish line with the fire marks
When the relay starts I’m a runaway slave-master

Shittin’ on the past gotta spit it like a pastor

Iggy is probably not paying too much attention to Chuck though, her song “Fancy” is currently in its seventh week as the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100.
