Lil Wayne is diving into the world of sports management and joining the rapper’s clientele, soccer pro, Cristiano Ronaldo.
TMZ first broke the story, Weezy, who is known to be a sports fanatic, has been wanting to launch a sports management company for sometime now and finally pulled the trigger. Ronaldo is Lil Wayne’s first client and according to reports, the rapper wanted Cristiano not just because he is extremely talented, but because the two are good friends.
A source tells the news outlet that the company will be working directly with PolarisSports, which is affiliated with the CAA agency and GestiFute. Weezy and his team will handle all of the soccer player’s affairs in the United States, which will include marketing, appearances, endorsement deals and modeling.
On Thursday, Lil Wayne re-posted an image of Rondaldo posing with Japan’s Prime Minster and other Japanese politicians, throwing up YMCMB sign.
“My homie Christiano Ronaldo got the President of Japan throwing up Young money! He too real 4dat! Young Muulah baby,” Weezy captioned the image.
