Floyd Mayweather took to Instagram on Saturday afternoon to address a comment that was “taken out of context” regarding his relationship with T.I.’s wife, Tameka Harris.
During a press conference on Friday to promote his upcoming fight against Marcos Maidana, a reporter yelled out: “What about T.I.?” Mayweather immediately responded, “What about the b*tch? I was f***ing his b*tch.”
After the video went viral, the 37-year-old took to the social media website to clarify that EVERYONE misheard him.
“At the press conference, I said ‘… he thinks I was f*cking his b*tch’. I DID NOT say ‘… I was f*cking his b*tch’. I’ve never been with Tiny sexually. I respect her situation and I thinks she’s a good person. I would never disrespect a marriage. #Mayhem on September 13th,” he wrote.
Back in May, Mayweather and T.I. got into an altercation at a Las Vegas Fat Burger over the boxer’s friendship with Tiny. HipHollywood caught up with Floyd while on the red carpet for the Think Like a Man Too premiere and the star revealed that he and T.I. had squashed the beef.
“I’m always going to be positive,” he said. “T.I. is a cool rapper, he is a good rapper and I wish him nothing but the best.”
HipHollywood also captured exclusive video of Mayweather confronting Tiny on the red carpet of the 2014 BET Awards. Tiny was preparing to do an interview with HH when Floyd began screaming her name in the background. Tiny, who appeared startled, immediately made her way down the carpet and successfully avoided the boxer, cutting our interview short in the process.
