Nyong’o is following up her Oscar-winning performance in 12 Years A Slave with a role that is sure to cement her even further in cinematic history. The Lancome spokesmodel has has been cast in Star Wars: Episode VII, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lupita joins returning stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Kenny Baker, along with newcomers Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.
Directed by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: Episode VII began filming last month, with shooting taking place in London and Abu Dhabi. The movie is set to hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
