“I am not my hair,” the famous lyrics sung by r&b singer, India Arie … And now, the singer is sharing her thoughts on the backlash Jay Z and Beyonce have received for not “combing” their 2-year-old daughter’s hair.

In a lengthy message posted on Twitter, the singer expressed her thoughts on “crossing boundaries” and slammed fans who have criticized the young child’s natural locks.

“My thoughts on (Blue Ivy’s) Hair. Why does ANYone get the idea that its ok to make fun of a child? In public no less? This celebrity culture that hypnotizes people into thinking a person is LITERALLY NOT REAL because you see them on television is a spell the watcher HIM or HER SELF MUST BREAK,” India wrote on  Blue Ivy — is a CHILD. and ANYONE thinking to themselves right now: “But she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth so what does it matter what I say” Denying ANY PERSON their humanity , is a GAME we should ALL stop playing. WHY? Because it’s the kind of PERSON YOU WANT TO BE. Why NOT be a person who is loving towards human kind as a whole AND people as individuals? WHY NOT be a person protects the hearts of children? I think! all these people making negative comments would feel the SAME WAY if Blue Ivy’s hair were TOO DONE. If she had a relaxer, of Hair pulled too tight at the edges. being gentle with a child’s hair is simply appropriate – this goes the same for ALL children. Come ya’ll Lol Were ARE better than this.”

Last week, a woman named Jasmine Toliver started a petition on change.org called Comb her Hair, asking for Jay Z and Beyonce to comb their daughter’s hair.

“As a woman who understands the importance of hair care. It’s disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture,” the petition’s description read. “The parents of Blue Ivy. Sean Carter A.K.A Jay-Z and Beyoncé has failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy Hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let’s get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair.”

Review: ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ Is Bigger & Better Than The First

Published

If you liked Kingsman:The Secret Service, get ready for The Golden Circle. Hands downs this Kingsman is bigger, badder and better than the first.

Director Matthew Vaughn really takes it up a notch and gives fans much more action and fight sequences. Right off the top we see Eggsy (Taron Egerton) in this amazing car chase scene that will have you applauding as soon as the Prince track ends.

And while we’re talking music the film has an amazing sound track. And if you didnt know, Elton John is also in the film acting and singing some of his classic tunes.

What I also loved were the new editions.  Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges and Pedro Pascal who play the Statesmen – the American version of the Kingsman –  and the dynamic between the two is pretty comical. Vaughn really explores the difference between the two cultures – mannered men in suits versus macho men in jeans and cowboy boots.

Then there’s Julianne Moore who plays the villain, she’s like this maniacal Martha Stewart esque drug lord and she’s quite good at it.

Now there are some obnoxious moments (like that sex scene between Egerton and Poppy Delevigne).  But I think that’s the point. This franchise is all about turning the spy genre on it’s head and introducing the younger generation to a new type of Bond flick … And we think they are going to love it.
