Exclusive: Naturi Naughton Talks Steamy Sex Scenes With Omari Hardwick!

Published

STARZ’s forthcoming drama, Power, tells the story of a visionary crime drama set in two different worlds, the glamorous New York club scene and the brutal drug trade. Starring Omari Hardwick and Naturi Naughton, expect more than just drugs, drama and street beef … Get ready for some steamy sex scenes.

Afterall, who wouldn’t want to see Omari Hardwick’s cute buttocks!

HipHollywood caught up with Naughton, who plays Omari’s wife on the show, to talk about not only working with Hardwick, but more importantly … Getting physical with the star.

“Omari was a pleasure. He’s a handsome piece of a man,” she told us. “But I enjoyed as an actress being able to just challenge myself in areas that may not be the most comfortable.”

She added, “I’ve done that before with a role like Lil Kim in Notorious. For me Power was just a deeper more complex role.”

We also talked with the Naughton’s co-star, Lela Loren who opened up about her very different role on the show.

“I play Angela Valdes and she’s an AUSA. She is also James St. Patrick’s [Hardwick] first love. They met when they were teenagers and then Angela took off and she’s happened to run into him by chance,” she explained.

The girls also let us in on what it was like working with 50 Cent, who is the executive producer on the upcoming series.

“He was so respectful, quiet and warm,” Loren said.

Naughton added, “I was pleasantly surprised by his focus, his passion for the show and him having such a supportive energy.”

We promise you, it’s worth tuning in for! Power premieres on Saturday, June 7 at 9 p.m. on STARZ.
