The Real Reason Why Robert Kardashian, Jay Z, Beyonce Didn’t Attend Kimye Wedding

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding was one of the most anticipated nuptials of the year. Some of the celebrity guests included LaLa Anthony, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Big Sean, Mos Def and Common … But there were three very important A listers missing.

Noticeably absent from the extravagant affair, Kim’s brother Robert Kardashian and Kanye’s reported best man, Jay Z and his wife, Beyonce. According to reports, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star ditched his sister’s wedding because of a family fight … But a source is telling E! News exclusively that that was not the case.

“Kim and Rob did not fight,” the insider explained. “He wanted to be there, but he was feeling so insecure and didn’t want anyone to see him heavier like this. Kim and Kanye completely understand. They love Rob and only want him to be healthy and happy.”

Robert, who has been struggling with his weight, decided to spend the day of their wedding at his Los Angeles home instead.

And as previously reported, Bey and Jay opted out of going to the Italian ceremony to avoid a run in with Rachel Roy, who was reportedly the catalyst behind Solange attacking Jay Z earlier this month.

“Given Kim and Kanye’s list of celeb friends, surprisingly, they didn’t invite that many,” a source told the news outlet. “They wanted it to be a small and intimate wedding. Jay Z and Beyoncé were invited but didn’t come, seemingly to avoid drama from Rachel Roy who was going. In the end, the wedding was full of love and super intimate.”

The couple opted to spend the holiday weekend in the Hamptons, but Beyonce did send a congratulatory message to couple via Instagram, writing:

“Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless your beautiful family.”
