The-Dream turned himself into New York City police on Wednesday morning after being accused of assaulting his baby’s mama when she was six months pregnant.

TMZ first broke the story, the producer’s ex-girlfriend, Lydia Nam claimed that the producer physically assaulted her back in April 2013 when she was just three months away from giving birth to their son. Nam alleged that the 36-year-old punched, kicked and strangled her while at the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.

As reported last week, law enforcement has been looking for the 36-year-old for questioning. Terius Youngdell Nash, the rapper’s legal name, turned himself in at 8:30 a.m and was booked on assault and strangulation charges and will also face three misdemeanors: assault, reckless endangerment and child endangerment.
