Son of Hollywood Director Goes On Deadly Shooting Spree, Kills 6, Injures 13

Seven people are dead following a deadly rampage in the town of Santa Barbara, Ca.

Elliot Rodger, reportedly the son of The Hunger Games’ second unit director Peter Rodger, went on a deadly shooting spree in the college community on Friday night, leaving 6 dead and 13 injured.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, there were several crime scenes within the area. Rodger reportedly fatally stabbed three men within his residence before the rampage. The 22-year-old then went on a drive-by shooting spree, killing two female students from UCSB in front of a sorority home and then another man at a nearby deli.

According to law enforcement, four people were injured by the suspect’s car, eight sustained gun shot wounds and one sustained a minor injury. Following the shootings, Rodger died from a gunshot wound after his car crashed in the Isla Vista community. Deputies are unsure whether or not the 22-year-old turned the gun on himself or the result of a “firefight with police.”

According to the Sheriff’s Department, there were three 9 millimeter semi-automatic hand guns recovered from the suspect’s vehicle. The weapons were legally purchased and registered to the suspect.

Before the deadly shooting, Rodger posted a seven minute video on his Facebook page titled, “Elliot Rodger’s Retribution.” In the clip, the 22-year-old can be seen ranting about his social life and how he has been lonely for the past eight years, since “puberty.” He goes on to talk about how women rejected him and how he is still a “virgin.”

Well, this is my last video, it has all had to come to this. Tomorrow is the day of retribution, the day in which I will have my revenge against humanity, against all of you. For the last eight years of my life, ever since I hit puberty, I’ve been forced to endure an existence of loneliness, rejection and unfulfilled desires all because girls have never been attracted to me. Girls gave their affection, and sex and love to other men but never to me ….

I’m 22 years old and I’m still a virgin. I’ve never even kissed a girl. I’ve been through college for two and a half years, more than that actually, and I’m still a virgin. It has been very torturous. College is the time when everyone experiences those things such as sex and fun and pleasure. Within those years, I’ve had to rot in loneliness. It’s not fair …

On the day of retribution I’m going to enter the hottest sorority house of UCSB. And I will slaughter every spoiled, stuck-up, blond slut I see inside there. All those girls I’ve desired so much, they would have all rejected me and looked down upon me as an inferior man if I ever made a sexual advance towards them (scoffs) while they throw themselves at these obnoxious brutes. I’ll take great pleasure in slaughtering all of you …

If I can’t have you, girls, I will destroy you. You denied me a happy life, and in turn, I will deny all of you life. It’s only fair …

I hate all of you. Humanity is a disgusting, wretched, depraved species. If I had it in my power, I would stop at nothing (points finger at camera) to reduce every single one of you to mountains of skulls and rivers of blood. And rightfully so.
