There is one thing holding Brandon Jennings and Tae Heckard back from tying the knot … Her domestic partnership with another woman.

There have been reports circulating that Tae and the NBA player are engaged and are ready to say “I do.” But before the lovebirds can walk down the aisle, Tae needs to legally end her domestic partnership.

TMZ first broke the story, Heckard domestically partnered up with a woman named Monique Blanton back in 2008 and that she took Monique’s last name. Heckard states in the court documents, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, that she and Monique separated in 2011, citing irreconcilable differences.

According to the docs, Tae has filed to reinstate her last name … In which we can only assume is so that she can eventually take Brandon’s.

It’s unclear whether or not Tae and Monique were in a full fledged committed relationship, but there are reports suggesting that the two registered for domestic partnership simply to save on taxes.

Neither Brandon or Tae, who first announced their relationship via social media earlier this year, have confirmed their engagement. But it’s safe to say that their love is moving to the next level because Tae is sporting a HUGE rock on her ring finger.

Is Trey Songz Completely Out Of Control?!

Published

on

Trey Songz used to be a singer known for sexually suggestive lyrics and his panache for saying “yuuuup.” Now, he may be known more as an R&B singer with a possible rage problem…

Trigga Trey has been accused of smacking a girl in the face with her own phone and now that accuser is suing for $50,000. The unidentified woman says that while at Philadelphia’s Vanity Grand Cabaret strip club she sought to get a snapshot with the singer, but he didn’t oblige. Instead, according to the woman, he pushed her phone back into her face and caused her glasses to break.

If true, this isn’t Trey’s first time getting way too aggressive for no d@mn reason. Just last year he became so upset over authorities ending his show in Detroit that he threw microphones and speakers from the stage. Unfortunately, he also injured a police officer in the process. In August, he reached a plea deal in that case and got his felony assault charge reduced to just two counts of disturbing the peace.

So, back to the fan who just wanted a photo. It looks like she’s only seeking coin and not criminal charges. And in Songz’s defense he does take pictures with some fans (see below), so maybe it was just the way she asked.
