Designer Rachel Roy Tweets Jay Z’s “Beach Is Better” … Goes Back And Defends Herself

Rachel Roy, the designer who recently became the center of the Solange/Jay Z scandal, got herself caught in a little Twitter debacle after posting a Jay Z lyric.

On Wednesday, in efforts to promote her new summer clothing line, the star tweeted:

“The beach is better! Escape with RRR’s Summer ’14 video.”

“Beach is Better” is a song on Jay’s latest album … But according to Roy, there was nothing behind the tweet. The star later followed up her tweet to defend herself, writing:

“Tweeties this is silly, the beach IS better in summer or anytime in my book,no idea that was the name of a song, #welovethesea #alllove xxRR.”

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that before Solange attacked Jay Z in a hotel elevator following the Met Gala, she also went in on Roy. A source tells Us Weekly that during the argument, Beyonce “got in the middle of it.”

By the way, Roy’s ex-husband is Damon Dash, Jay-Z’s former manager and business partner at Roc-a-Fella Records before the two had a massive falling out.

Published

It’s no secret that Drake’s been on a giving spree while in Miami. From college kids to hotel workers and everyone in between, the rapper has been changing lives one dollar at a time — and now we can see it all in action.

Clearly, it was “God’s Plan” for Drizzy to take his entire budget for his music video and spend it on various residents and workers in Florida’s hot spot city. That’s right almost a million bucks — $996,631.90 to be exact — was slotted for Drake to shoot the visuals for his latest hit but instead he used all the money to make a difference. And in doing so, he made us cry … multiple times. Just watch the video below.

In a statement the self-professed “6god” said this video was “the most important thing” he’s ever done. We’d agree.
