Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker Tie The Knot In Atlanta!

Published

on

The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss is officially off the market. The singer and longtime boyfriend, Todd Tucker said “I do” on Friday during an intimate ceremony in Atlanta.

“This is one of the best days of my life,” the Grammy Award winning singer told In Touch magazine. “I never imagined that I would marry my best friend. Todd’s been that to me.”

Kandi and Todd’s journey to the altar wasn’t exactly a cake walk. As chronicled on the hit Bravo show, Kandi’s mother, mama Joyce was not supportive of her daughter marrying Todd, but it sounds like mama Joyce put her concerns behind. During an interview with Too Fab following the Atlanta nuptials, Joyce explained why she didn’t object when she had the chance.

“I had no reason to bite my tongue. I’m not gonna be the one to stop her from jumping into the fire. I tried, I did all that ahead of time. Too late for me to pull out of it then, not gonna make a fool outta myself,” she explained.

“Long as she’s happy, that’s the one that has to be happy. Doesn’t make no difference if I’m happy or not, she’s the one that has to live with him. I did everything I could do. If she’s jumping in the river with sharks, she’s gonna get chewed up.”

She continued, “It’s not about me, whether I’m right or wrong. People show you their best when you’re dating them, so if she’s seeing the best now, the worst is yet to come.”

The lovebirds opted out of embarking on a long. exotic honeymoon, but Kandi explained via Instagram that there is a good reason.

“Good afternoon! I woke up feeling blessed & highly favored this morning & I hope you did too! I just wanted to say thank you for all of your well wishes prayers for @todd167 & I. I know people are asking why am I on IG when I should be on my honeymoon,” she wrote.

“Well @todd167’s has to go out of town to set up a show his company is producing for a network that’s just starting production this week. We’re gonna do a quick getaway next weekend. Although I would have loved to take one of those long honeymoons & fly out the day after the wedding, anyone that watched #RHOA knows that I wanted Todd to produce his own shows & work for his self & that dream is coming true so I’m not complaining! So send him some love & congrats on his show being picked up as well!

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
