Iggy Azalea is more than Fancy, she’s number ONE!
The Australian rapper just dropped her long-awaited debut album, The New Classic, and it immediately hit the #1 spot on iTunes. To promote her new project, Iggy took her “Fancy” self to Good Morning America and performed her hit single with Charli XCX.
While Azalea is riding high now, her road leading up to this point was filled with low points. After walking away from her Interscope deal, Iggy had to take a step back, head overseas and rebuild her career one show at a time. The “Murda Bizness” rapper showed that tenacity and perseverance win in the end and now she’s signed to Def Jam with a hit album on her hands!
HipHollywood spoke to Iggy at VH1 Divas in 2012 and at the time she was still surprised by her fame, eager to drop her album and hoping to one day be like Mariah Carey!
After taking a listen to Iggy’s album we were surprised that Tyga wasn’t featured. Hmmm, we wonder what happened to that collabo.
