Petey Pablo Released From Prison, What The Rapper Plans On Doing Now!
It’s been quite a week for the world of hip hop … First rapper, Lil Boosie gets released from prison, and now … Petey Pablo.
The rapper, who served a two year sentence for gun-smuggling, was released from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey today, 4-months early.
“I just want to say that I’m totally glad to be back in the race and behind the wheel of a car that has been fine-tuned for the greatest performance,” Petey said in a press release sent out today, March 13. In the statement, Moses Barrett, the the rapper’s legal name, opened up what he plans to do now that he is a free man.
“I’m now headed to the work shop to begin what will be noted as my best work ever with one of the greatest producers of all time. My Brother, my friend, my partner for life: mega producer Timbaland, the King,” Barrett explained.
Back in August 2001, Timbaland and Petey dropped their hot track, “Raise Up” which peaked at number 25 on the U.S Billboard Hot 100 Chart just two months after it’s release.
In September 2010, the “Freek-a-Leek” rapper was taken into custody after reportedly trying to take a Smith & Wesson 639 through Raliegh-Durham International Airport security.
