Pharrell Williams turned the Oscars into a dancing party on Sunday night during his performance of his smash hit, “Happy.”
The producer took the stage during the 86th Annual Academy Awards in his seemingly popular Vivienne Westwood hat, a black jacket, black pants and a pair of red sneakers while a choir of high school students and dancers joined the fun.
And what other song other than “Happy” to get some of Hollywood’s heavy hitters on their feet to bust a few moves? Lupita Nyong’o, who stunned in a custom Prada light blue silk gown, immediately jumped up to dance with the Neptunes artist. Meryl Streep also took a moment to bust a move with the 40-year-old, but it was Amy Adams that really stole the show when she got up to break it down with Williams.
Pharrell was nominated for the Despicable Me 2 track, but it was Frozen’s, “Let It Go” that took home the golden statue for best Original Song.
