New Music from…Michael Jackson!

Published

On May 13th, the King of Pop will bless us all with new music!

Although Michael Jackson is no longer with us, his music will truly live on. Epic Records, in conjunction with the Estate of Michael Jackson, will release XSCAPE, an album of brand new songs from MJ.

Executive produced by Epic Records Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid, Xscape’s lead producer is Timbaland and also features producers Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon and John McClain.

Using a method he calls “contemporizing”, Reid curated the final list of recordings to deliver to the producers, who retooled the production to add a fresh, contemporary sound that retains Jackson’s essence and integrity.

“Modern music and artistry would look and sound completely different if not for the groundbreaking contributions Michael Jackson gifted to the world,” remarked L.A. Reid. “Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with. We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world.”

The project features eight new tracks, while the Deluxe Edition will include all of the sourced Michael Jackson recordings in their original form. Both will be available for pre-order beginning April 1 on iTunes.

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
