Khloe Kardashian is still dealing with her heartbreaking divorce from former NBA star, Lamar Odom. During an exclusive interview with Australia’s 2Day FM Breakfast with the Stars radio show on Tuesday morning, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star opened up the troubling break up.
“It’s definitely not anything I’m through. I’m going through it, but I’m not through it,” she told hosts, Mel B, Sophie Monk and Merrick Watts. “It’s really hard to watch yourself on TV. It’s definitely different in that the world has to watch, too,” Khloe said about what was chronicled on their hit E! reality show. “It’s definitely not the easiest thing to do, but it’s what my life is.”
The 29-year-old and her famous family are always the hot topic of gossip sites and tabloids. From relationships, to their stunning looks, the family has had their fair share of media attention. But according to Khloe, her friends and family keep her level headed.
“I have the same friends that I’ve had for 15 years. I think also, just by having each other, as soon as one of us gets a big head, we shoot the other one down. That’s the beauty about having brothers and sisters,” Kardashian said. “I just don’t believe the hype. I just don’t take myself too seriously. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.”
She added, “It’s easy to get lost in this. It’s easy to get lost in all the hype and to have all these ‘yes men’ around you. It’s a really easy thing. But because we’re all doing it together, it’s a really rare scenario. Most families aren’t all in the public eye as we are. It works as a blessing. It works in our favor.”
And if Khloe ever wanted to start dating women, Mel B will be waiting in line. “If I was a lesbian, you would be my girlfriend,” Mel Be told the reality star. Khloe responded, “Why thank you, Mel. Let’s lez it out a little bit.”
