Poor John Travolta, it’s going to be a while before people let his major Oscar flub go.

During Sunday’s Academy Awards, Travolta became the talk of the night after royally butchering Idina Menzel’s name while introducing her. “Adele Dazeem,” John blurted out while on stage. Well now, people around the world are mocking the star, even American Horror Story star, Gabourey Sidibe.

On Tuesday night, Sidibe guest hosted on Chelsea Lately, and during her opening monologue, the actress took a moment to poke fun at Travolta’s funny, yet outlandish moment.

“Unfortunately I was backstage and I missed the biggest moment of the entire broadcast,” Sidibe explained. “I’m not talking about when the pizza was delivered … Well, I am a little bit because I ordered pepperoni … [but] I’m talking about when John Travolta butchered Idina Menzel’s name!”

She continued, “What was that? It was crazy … I actually feel badly for John … Give the guy a break! He’s not the only one who has trouble pronouncing things.” Sidibe then showed a hilarious clip of Chuy Bravo trying to pronounce Gabourey’s name.

By the way, Travolta released the following statement on Monday morning about mangling Menzel’s name.

“I’ve been beating myself up all day. Then I thought … what would Idina Menzel say? She’d say, ‘Let it go, let it go!’ Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!”
