Chipotle Who? Frank Ocean Is Focused On His Sophomore Album, Not Burrito Bowls

Just one simple picture and now the world waits with baited breath.

Frank Ocean took to his tumblr a posted this picture of himself in the studio. No caption, no blurb, nothing…just a man and his soundboard.

Famed director Nabil, responsible for Frank’s “Pyramids”, “Novacane” and “Swim Good” music videos, posted the same image with the caption, “Frank in the lab.. Making sophomore album game.”

This news comes on the heels of Frank’s bitter feud with fast food chain, Chipotle. After reneging on a deal to sing “Pure Imagination” for the burrito giants, the Grammy-winner returned his $212,500 check with a big “F- Off” noted in the memo line (although Chipotle claims he didn’t). But, none of that matters now, because Frank is firmly where he needs to be…the studio!

Ocean’s 2012 Channel Orange album will be a tough act to follow, but according to the “Thinkin’ Bout Forever” singer, his sophomore effort will be an extension of his critically acclaimed debut. “At the end of Channel Orange, there’s ‘Golden Girl,’ and it’s this beach scene. And I kind of want it to extend that feel into the next record all together, kind of make it that theme,” Frank told Rolling Stone last year.

Hmmm, maybe this is why he was spotted with Katy Perry last week. Collabo in the works?

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
