Kylie Jenner Defends Her Mom Over Jaden Smith Dating Rumors

Published

Kylie Jenner is firing back at reports that her mother Kris Jenner controls her dating life. The story first appeared on HollywoodLife over the weekend. The gossip website claims that Kris only wants her daughter dating famous people because it will help boost her celebrity profile.

The 16-year-old has been romantically linked to teen actor Jaden Smith in the past, leading some to claim that the two were only dating to garner attention from the media. The suggestions didn’t sit well with Kylie who took to Twitter on Saturday:

“The fact that some people actually believe I would waste my time dating someone as a publicity stunt,” Kylie wrote Saturday. While it’s sort of an incomplete thought, we assume Kylie means it’s annoying or frustrating or stupid or something not positive that people believe she would date only for publicity.

As for her alleged romance with Smith, in a recent issue of Seventeen Prom, Jenner said Smith was her “best guy friend,” but they weren’t dating.
