Ebony Celebrates Black Love! Who’s Your Fave Couple?

Love is in the air and Ebony magazine is celebrating three couple that personify it — Carmelo & LaLa Anthony, David & Tamela Mann and Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon!

“To usher in Valentine’s Day, EBONY magazine is showcasing the love among three Black power couples in our February 2014 issue”, the mag posted to its Instagram page. Each of the couples talked about what it takes to stay together and why their relationships work so well.

“Stay in love because when you’re in love, it covers a multitude of fault. Our relationship wasn’t based on good sex or having a lot of money. It was based on just straight friendship. That’s what has kept us.” –David Mann
“I pray and ask God to keep my heart and my eyes burning only for David Mann. I speak his name in my prayers, because I want the desire to stay, so when he touches me, I get chills.” –Tamela Mann

“It was early on when I found out how spiritual she was, and we had conversations about kids and how to live life. For her to share these values, it instantly let me know this is the person I’ve always wanted.” -Nick Cannon
“Having babies definitely strengthened our bond because all the love that you have for each other is manifested into these two incredible beings.” –Mariah Carey

“There were people coming in and out of my life, and I didn’t really know whom to trust. She was one of the people who stood by my side through thick and thick. Even to this day, she’s always right there.” -Carmelo Anthony
“…We knew no matter what, we wanted each other. We needed [to be] in each other’s life, and that’s what’s been able to sustain this relationship all those years.” -La La Anthony

David and Tamela-since they are both actually black -the other 2 women are such fake azzz poser bee-yotchs-and when is MeMe gonna quit flipping that race card-she is more hispanic and than white than she is black-give us a break-and Tamela is being herself MeMe is using every trick in the photog book to try and hide that she is almost as big as Tamela and to not look like Nick’s mother-her face is so photoshopped there you wouldn’t recognize her if you saw her on the street that’s for sure-I think they actually shrunk her head because when she puts her head next to Nicks in non edited shots her mug is like twice the size of his

Ebony Magazine is like an Oreo Cookie – Black on the outside but White on the inside. Who is actually pulling the strings at this publication? It reminds me of those Black dating sites that are actually owned by non-Blacks.

Love the Mann’s Cover. There are so many other Black Love couples out there who have standed the test of time. Hey how about Angela Basset and Courtney Vance?

They’ve Gone Too Far … This Is Why We’re Finally, Completely, Utterly Over The Kardashians!

It’s like an abusive relationship that we keep coming back to…

Honestly, many of us on the HH staff have been over the Kardashians for years now. Not in a hater way, just in a way that we feel like it is no longer necessary, nor fulfilling, to follow them, like them, watch them or support their various business ventures or brands (many of us never did in the first place, but we digress).

But, for the few of us that did enjoy watching the show or following their social media antics, this most recent ‘KUWTK’ trailer is the straw that has broken the proverbial camel’s back.

We know a few of these chicks are pregnant, but of course, not a baby bump in sight. Instead, Kylie has gone into hiding (not featured in the trailer at all) and Khloe has some big secret and everyone is crying and can’t believe it (pregnancy, duh!). But they way that ‘KUWTK’ plays it’s viewers like fools has just gotten to the point that it’s unacceptable. This trailer doesn’t make you want to watch the show. The trailer makes you irritated that they string you along and pre-produce their lives to achieve ratings gold. It’s annoying and we’re over it.

Oh, and let’s not even start with the Blac Chyna shade. That girl was just getting the last laugh. Let’s not forget what your family did to her first! But anywoo…

Y’all can watch if you want. We won’t be. But I’m sure we’ll see the long-awaited baby bumps on our IG timeline in due time. Until then we won’t be keeping up. (but if you want to see the trailer below)
