12 Years A Slave continued its Awards Season domination at the Critics Choice Movie Awards on Thursday night!
The Steve McQueen directed drama starring Chiwetel Ejiofor and Lupita Nyong’o grabbed the “Best Picture”, “Best Adapted Screenplay” and “Best Supporting Actress” honors at the 19th annual show. This news come on the heels of the film receiving nine nods from the Academy Awards. But, while ’12 Years’ is celebrating its success, some folks feel other Black films like Lee Daniels The Butler, Mandela and Fruitvale Station, were snubbed.
While on the CCMA red carpet, HipHollywood spoke to the award-winning ’12 Years’ cast and they gave their reactions to the Oscar nods and snubs.
