Since releasing her album Love & War, Tamar Braxton has been performing nonstop. From award shows to touring with John Legend, the Braxton Family Values star has put her vocal cords to the test…and unfortunately, they’ve let her down a few times.

“Some days it’s just not there…I didn’t allow myself time to heal, so therefore it’s going to take me longer and I’m not ashamed. But I can sing my face off at the end of the day”, Braxton said of her recent vocal issues.

Although her voice can be hit or miss these days, due to damaged blood vessels on her vocal cords, HipHollywood was none the wiser while hearing her perform at the Universal CityWalk Tree Lighting ceremony. The Tamar & Vince star belted of ballads from her holiday album Winter Loversland, and couldn’t have be more excited to be apart of the festivities. “First of all I love Christmas”, Tamar explained, “I have named myself the Christmas Princess, because Mariah (Carey) is the Christmas Queen.”

Check out more from Tamar below and get the holiday album, Winter Loversland, in stores now! Braxton is just the first in a series of upcoming free CityWalk Concerts. Go to CityWalkHollywood.com for a full list of performers.

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
