It looks like Michael Jordan is expecting his first child with his wife Yvette Prieto.

Jordan’s rep has confirmed that the basketball legend and the Cuban-American model, who were married last April, will soon be parents. This will not be the 50-year-old’s first child, he has three children from his ex-wife Juanita Vanoy.

Jordan and Prieto had been dating for five years before getting married this last year and had their wedding in Florida in front of 500 guests with a whopping 1,500 guest reception. This baby will be the perfect addition to the new family.

Serena Williams gave birth to a healthy baby girl on September 1, 2017 and is now a happy mother to a perfect bundle of joy. But what fans didn’t know was that the tennis superstar almost died during child birth.

In an op-ed piece for CNN, the mother of one opened up about complications she had while delivering her first child, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. Here are three shocking details the athlete is now unveiling.

1. According to Williams, she had an emergency C-section after the baby’s heart rate dropped dramatically during contractions. “It began with a pulmonary embolism, which is a condition in which one or more arteries in the lungs becomes blocked by a blood clot,” Williams wrote. “This sparked a slew of health complications that I am lucky to have survived.”

2. “My C-section wound popped open due to the intense coughing I endured as a result of the embolism. I returned to surgery, where the doctors found a large hematoma, a swelling of clotted blood, in my abdomen. And then I returned to the operating room for a procedure that prevents clots from traveling to my lungs.”

3. When Serena “finally made it home to my family, I had to spend the first six weeks of motherhood in bed.”

In the article posted on CNN’s website, Williams opened up about studies that prove “Black women in the United States are over three times more likely to die from pregnancy or childbirth-related causes.”
