Cynthia Bailey is revealing new details about her relationship with Peter Thomas and how her recent illness could have been the cause of a nasty split.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star stopped by HLN to talk about her recent battle with fibroids and how it changed her life. The reality star expressed that her husband might have left her had she not gotten the fibroids “under control.”

“I had systematic fibroids. With that became all these different systems that I dealt with and low sex drive was one of them … Bloating. I literally felt like a pregnant lady all of the time … I was anemic as well because of the heavy bleeding. I didn’t feel like doing anything let alone having sex.”

The model then went on to explain how her illness impacted her relationship. “He started to feeling low self esteem about our relationship,” she said. “He started to say things like ‘I feel like you’re not attracted to me anymore. You never want to do it anymore,'”she recalled.

“The truth is exactly what he said. That’s how I felt when I was dealing with it. I really wanted to be left alone. I wanted to sleep when I could sleep. I did not have a high sex drive. My husband is very attracted to me, he wanted to have sex with me.”

During an exclusive interview with Life & Style, Peter revealed that he absolutely would have left. “I know we would have been done,” he told the publication. “There is absolutely no way we could have survived another year if things hadn’t changed.”

Pete even revealed that he though of cheating on his wife. “Me and my buddies were planning a trip to Venezuela because nobody knows us there,” he said.

Cynthia had a procedure to remove the fibroids and is doing well.
