Beyonce released her album last week and now she is releasing a series of behind the scenes videos about the making of both the music and the videos. In the latest video entitled “Part 2. Imperfection” which was released Tuesday night, Beyonce opens up about the meaning of the “Pretty Hurts” music video and her childhood.
“The trophy represents all of the sacrifices I made as a kid. All of the time that I lost. Being on the road in the studios as a child and I just want to blow that sh*t up,” Beyonce stated referring to the scene in which she destroys her wall of trophies.
“I have a lot of awards and a lot of these things and they are amazing and I worked my ass off. I worked harder than probably everybody I know to get those things but nothing feels like my child saying ‘mommy’. Nothing feels like when I look my husband in the eyes … At this point in my life, that’s what I’m striving for.”
The video includes extra footage of Blue and Jay and gives fans a great look at the dedication and hard work Beyonce put into this album.
