Published

Saturday marked the 20th anniversary of Snoop Dogg’s debut album, Doggystyle.

Doggystyle sold over 800,000 units in its first week and was one of the most anticipated debut Rap albums in Rap history. It set the record for fastest-selling album and debut artist that was not broken until Eminem’s The Marshall Mathers LP came out seven years later in 2000.

While it broke records, made history, and changed hip hop forever, Snoop revealed in a recent MTV interview, that he has never actually listened to the whole Doggystyle album in its full entirety.

“I don’t believe I’ve ever listened to the whole album and I’m being honest with you,” said Snoop. “I ain’t never listen to Doggystyle top to bottom. I may have listened to songs, but I never listen to any of my projects to to bottom.”
