Are Kerry Washington’s Features Distorted On ‘Lucky’ Cover?

Published

on

Kerry Washington has landed on the cover of a handful of magazines this year; from Elle and Vanity Fair, to Ebony and Essence, the Scandal star, who was also named VF’s 2013 International Best-Dressed star, is always pure perfection … But there is something different about Washington as she graces the latest cover of Lucky magazine.

On Monday morning, the mags editor-in-chief, Eva Chen tweeted a photo of the Dec/Jan issue writing, “Just unveiled @LuckyMagazine’s December/January covergirl on @GMA: the indomitable @kerrywashington of @scandalABC!”

Although we adore Kerry, we can’t help but notice that some of the star’s amazing features appear to be totally distorted. If you look closely, the newlywed’s eyes seem to be a bit more slanted and her nose almost unrecognizable.

But despite some of the mere pronounced images, Kerry still glows while rocking a chopped hair do and floral print ensemble.

And Washington clearly approves of the image because after Chen posted the photo on Twitter, Washington retweeted writing, “Woo Hoo.”

Sound off: What do you think of the cover?

Issa, Anthony, Sterling … Oh My! This Is Who We’re Rooting For At The Golden Globes

Another year, another award show … but this time around a few new names have made the nominations cut.

The 2018 Golden Globes nominees were announced on Monday and some of our favorites like Anthony Anderson, his show “black-ish”, Denzel Washington (“Roman J. Israel, Esq”), Octavia Spencer (“The Shape Of Water”) and Sterling K. Brown (“This Is Us”) made the list again. But some newbies were announced that have us giddy like it’s Christmas morning.

First up, we’re super glad that “Get Out” is being recognized, although it’s in the “Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical” category (womp) and to see David Kaluuya getting some love is pretty dope.

In addition, one of our FAVE singer is now being recognized for her acting prowess! Mary J. Blige scored a nod for her supporting role in “Mudbound” and we can’t wait to see what she wears to the big show.

And although this is Issa Rae’s second year being a Golden Globe nominee, we’re just as excited as if it were her first! Oh, and maybe the Globes will get it right this year (wink, wink).
