Kanye West Confirms Adidas Deal … Slams Nike

Published

on

Kanye West is BOUND for Adidas after the rapper severed business ties with Nike. Mr. West made the revelation Monday during a radio interview on New York’s Hot 97, saying his decision was inspired by the birth of his daughter.

The announcement comes just one day after the grumpy rapper slammed Nike during his Madison Square Garden concert. During one of his routine rants, the rapper dissed the shoe giant for not giving him royalties on his Air Yeezys because he’s “not a professional athlete.”

“The old me without a daughter may have taken the Nike deal because I just love Nike so much and blah, blah, blah. But the new me takes the Adidas deal because I have royalties and I have to provide for my family,” West explained.

“I’m gonna be the first hip-hop designer and because of that, I’m gonna be bigger than Wal-Mart,” Ye explained during his radio interview.
“I am going to be the 2 Pac of product. There ain’t no 2 Pac in rap except for 2 Pac.”

No word on when Kanye’s kicks with Adidas will hit store shelves, but will you be supporting Mr. West and his shoe endeavor?

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
