Kanye West reportedly went on a tangent Sunday night about Lenny Kravitz, not realizing that the rockstar was sitting in the crowd watching him.
West reportedly stopped his Madison Square Garden concert for 20 minutes to go on one of his usual rants about the music industry when he claimed that he was the biggest rockstar on the planet. But thats not all he talked about, in an awkward twist Kanye started to talk about rockstar, Lenny Kravitz.
‘There wouldn’t be no song called n***** in Paris without Lenny Kravitz, because he was the first n**** in Paris. Lenny has the best taste and the dopest crib,” Ye said.
It didn’t stop there, Kanye kept going and touched on the fact that Kravitz had attempted to start a fashion line, “There wouldn’t be no Kanye West if it wasn’t for Lenny Kravitz. The only difference is I turn up on those n****s, I don’t give a **** about looking cool and this is no disrespect to Lenny.”
It turns out that among the stars attending the concert, including Idris Elba, Leonardo DiCaprio, John McEnroe and Busta Rhymes, Lenny Kravitz also happened to be in attendance.
According to Page Six, after being referred to as a nice, well-mannered guy by Kanye, the embarrassed the 49-year-old Kravitz was heard saying, “He doesn’t know I’m here.”
