You’ll Never Guess What Snoop Dogg Is Changing His Name To Now …

Published

on

Snoop Dogg or Snoop Lion or whatever the hell his name was last month, is changing his name again. The rapper is working on a funk album with Dam-Funk and will now go by Snoopzilla for the project.

The album, 7 Days of Funk, will be out December 10 via Stones Throw Records.

“We’re the babies of the Mothership,” said Snoop Dogg via a press statement. “I’ve had funk influences in my music my whole career. Dam-Funk is cold. He’s keeping the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him.”

“Snoop knew what I was thinking without me having to articulate it. That’s how you know when you gel artistically with someone,” added Dam-Funk in a press statement. “These beats were made for him and he laid down some of the smoothest harmonies and melodies I’ve ever heard. It’s hip-hop, but you can also hear what we grew up on, from Zapp to Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King and Patrice Rushen.”

DMX Is Clean, Sober And Plans To Stay That Way!

It’s a new dawn, a new day … DMX is sober!

The rapper’s lengthy history with drug abuse has been well documented by his many arrest and sometimes bizarre behavior, but Dark Man X is putting all of that behind him.

X has been in a treatment facility since late August and has been doing really well. The rapper opted for rehab instead of house arrest in order to improve his chances of kicking his drug habit and it looks like it may have worked.

Sources tell TMZ, the program is almost complete, but x will probably stay another 30 days since he’s been responding so well. X has even been able to take day trips with a friend to a nearby town.

Congrats to DMX!
