“Ok first of all, I’m watching Ellen and I’m like ‘I can’t believe it’ … Drake, I have words for you. Imma freestyle,” she said during the taping of the daytime talkshow. That’s when the 39-year-old busted out in a freestyle rap about Drakes revelation.

“Drake rhymes with snake but no he ain’t, he’s more like a lion/Going on Ellen but not lyin’, telling the truth what’s up dude, about that day on Disneyland/You ain’t my man, right now/But why you gotta not kiss and tell, but chill and tell/You goin’ to jali/And this is my Tyra mail.”

During Drake’s appearance on the Ellen Show back in September, the rapper revealed to the talkshow host that he and Tyra went on a date together.

“I went on a date with her one time. It was just one date. We went to Disneyland in disguise actually, which was fun,” he said. “I don’t know if it was a date, it was like a get together. We are close as well,” the Grammy Award winner added.

Banks’ episode on the Steve Harvey Show airs Friday, November 1.

Issa, Anthony, Sterling … Oh My! This Is Who We’re Rooting For At The Golden Globes

Published

on

Another year, another award show … but this time around a few new names have made the nominations cut.

The 2018 Golden Globes nominees were announced on Monday and some of our favorites like Anthony Anderson, his show “black-ish”, Denzel Washington (“Roman J. Israel, Esq”), Octavia Spencer (“The Shape Of Water”) and Sterling K. Brown (“This Is Us”) made the list again. But some newbies were announced that have us giddy like it’s Christmas morning.

First up, we’re super glad that “Get Out” is being recognized, although it’s in the “Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical” category (womp) and to see David Kaluuya getting some love is pretty dope.

In addition, one of our FAVE singer is now being recognized for her acting prowess! Mary J. Blige scored a nod for her supporting role in “Mudbound” and we can’t wait to see what she wears to the big show.

And although this is Issa Rae’s second year being a Golden Globe nominee, we’re just as excited as if it were her first! Oh, and maybe the Globes will get it right this year (wink, wink).
