Exclusive: Antoine Dodson To Appear In ‘Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas’

Hide your kids, hide your wife, hide your Christmas presents … Antoine Dodson is making his big screen debut in Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas.

During a recent interview with the Internet sensation via Skype, Dodson revealed to HipHollywood that he will be starring in the director’s upcoming holiday film. “I did the Madea’s Christmas with Tyler Perry and that’s coming out December 13, so I’ve been working, putting in work,” Dodson said.

“It’s so crazy, he’s serious about his work,” the Internet star said when asked what it was like working with Perry. “I love being around him and the cast. Everybody was so great. They treated me like I’ve been doing this for years,” he shared.

Dodson instantly became a YouTube sensation after he colorfully warned his neighbors back in 2010 to hide their kids and wives from a local rapist.

“I just can not believe all this happened and accumulated off of one interview. It wasn’t even meant to be put on Youtube and stuff like that … People in the community never thought I would be alerting people world wide and everybody else around the world was like ‘yeah, I’m having those problems too.'”

In September, Dodson announced via Twitter that he was expecting a baby with his girlfriend of six months. The 27-year-old was openly gay, but renounced his homosexuality after dedicating himself to the Hebrew Israelite faith. Dodson shared with HipHollywood exclusively that although he’s in a good place spiritually, his lifestyle change brought on major backlash.

“Everybody is turning against me. At first when I was growing up, everybody said ‘you need to read the bible, you need to know that God is against that’. And then when you actually say ‘I’ve changed and I’m on the right path, I’m straight,’ they still have a problem with it,” he shared. “You can’t make people happy, you can’t satisfy everyone. Oh well, people make their comments,” he added.

Be sure to check out Antoine in Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas, set to premiere December 13.

Review: ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ Is Bigger & Better Than The First

Published

If you liked Kingsman:The Secret Service, get ready for The Golden Circle. Hands downs this Kingsman is bigger, badder and better than the first.

Director Matthew Vaughn really takes it up a notch and gives fans much more action and fight sequences. Right off the top we see Eggsy (Taron Egerton) in this amazing car chase scene that will have you applauding as soon as the Prince track ends.

And while we’re talking music the film has an amazing sound track. And if you didnt know, Elton John is also in the film acting and singing some of his classic tunes.

What I also loved were the new editions.  Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges and Pedro Pascal who play the Statesmen – the American version of the Kingsman –  and the dynamic between the two is pretty comical. Vaughn really explores the difference between the two cultures – mannered men in suits versus macho men in jeans and cowboy boots.

Then there’s Julianne Moore who plays the villain, she’s like this maniacal Martha Stewart esque drug lord and she’s quite good at it.

Now there are some obnoxious moments (like that sex scene between Egerton and Poppy Delevigne).  But I think that’s the point. This franchise is all about turning the spy genre on it’s head and introducing the younger generation to a new type of Bond flick … And we think they are going to love it.
