Robin Thicke is clearly a magnet for naked models. Thicke is Treats! magazine’s September cover boy, and the cover photo looks all too familiar.
The singer graces the front page of the magazine rocking a dark grey, three piece suit, while surrounded by five women wearing very little. The 36-year-old poses confidently while the women huddle around the “Blurred Lines” singer, some grabbing hold of his legs.
During the interview for the cover shoot, Robin explained that posing with naked women is nothing new. “I’ve done some topless photo shoots before but never completely nude. It was very sexy and I like that. At first I thought, ‘Okay, let’s just do topless’ … But, again, my wife and her friends were like, ‘No way … go all the way.’ I think we definitely pushed the envelope.”
Thicke came under fire earlier this year for his artistic, yet controversial music video for “Blurred Lines,” which featured a number of naked women dancing around Thicke, Pharrell and T.I, who both were featured on the track.
In fact, the video was inspired by Treats! magazine. “When I was talking to my wife (Paula Patton) and her friends about the video they said, ‘Do something like Treats! because you love it so much.’ … I wanted to give homage where homage was due. We wanted to pay it all forward about our inspiration from Treats! for the “Blurred Lines” video,” the singer told the publication.
Thicke continued to talk about the controversial video, saying it was all in fun.
“All three guys in the video are married and have children … it was all tongue-in-cheek. We wanted to put everything in that was taboo. Bestiality, drug injections, etc. In fact, after the video was banned on YouTube my wife tweeted, ‘Violence is ugly. Nudity is beautiful. And the “Blurred Lines” video makes me wanna …’ We wanted it to be as silly and fun as possible,” Thicke said.
For more of Thicke’s interview, be sure to pick up the Treats! September issue on stands at the end of this week.
Is Trey Songz Completely Out Of Control?!
Trey Songz used to be a singer known for sexually suggestive lyrics and his panache for saying “yuuuup.” Now, he may be known more as an R&B singer with a possible rage problem…
Trigga Trey has been accused of smacking a girl in the face with her own phone and now that accuser is suing for $50,000. The unidentified woman says that while at Philadelphia’s Vanity Grand Cabaret strip club she sought to get a snapshot with the singer, but he didn’t oblige. Instead, according to the woman, he pushed her phone back into her face and caused her glasses to break.
If true, this isn’t Trey’s first time getting way too aggressive for no d@mn reason. Just last year he became so upset over authorities ending his show in Detroit that he threw microphones and speakers from the stage. Unfortunately, he also injured a police officer in the process. In August, he reached a plea deal in that case and got his felony assault charge reduced to just two counts of disturbing the peace.
So, back to the fan who just wanted a photo. It looks like she’s only seeking coin and not criminal charges. And in Songz’s defense he does take pictures with some fans (see below), so maybe it was just the way she asked.
