Are Jason Derülo And Jordin Sparks Officially Engaged?

Published

Jason Derülo released the music video to his new single, “Marry Me,” and we have to say, it’s totally adorable.

The video, which features Jason’s long-time girlfriend, Jordin Sparks, shows the sweeter, vulnerable side to the couple. The duo can be seen gazing into each others eyes, as Derülo asks Jordin for her hand in marriage. So are the two really engaged?

During the MTV VMAs last month, the couple posed together on the red carpet, and we couldn’t help but notice a gorgeous rock planted on the singer’s left hand.

In an exclusive interview with Jason a few months ago, HipHollywood asked the singer if marriage was in the near future. “When the time is right … It’s all about timing, and the right time,” Jason told us.

The singer also opened up about the track, which hadn’t been released, saying that it is about getting ready to marry the one he loves.

“‘Marry Me’ is one of those very pulling heart strings kind of record, it’s very different than the other side … Basically it’s talking about getting ready for that moment when I ask you to marry me,” Derülo dished.

Jordin, who was also present during the interview, shared with HipHollywood her reaction to the song when she first heard it.

“I was siting there kind of frozen like ‘wow, this is a really beautiful song.’ To take in account the reality of the situation, like we’re together, and we both write based on what we are going through. It was a very special moment for me,” the singer explained.

HipHollywood reached out to Jason’s camp who told us that unfortunately, the two are not engaged yet.
