Is Lamar Odom finally getting the help he needs?

According to People.com, the NBA veteran has checked himself into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. A source told the publication that the reality star realized “he needed to get help.”

Over the past few months, Odom’s life appears to have traveled in a downward spiral. The player was arrested last week for DUI amid rumors of cheating and drug abuse. Odom’s problems have reportedly caused hardships in his marriage with, Khloe Kardashian. But according to multiple reports, Khloe has been working tirelessly to get her husband help.

During Robi Reed’s “Sunshine Beyond Summer” party during Labor Day weekend, HipHollywood caught up with former athlete and actor, Terry Crews, to get his reaction on Lamar’s recent troubles.

“All of us have family members who are on drugs, or have any kind of issues. You have to love them. You have to be concerned,” Crews explained.

“Everybody has an addiction. Everybody has one thing they have to get over. And if anybody looks at him like ‘oh, whatever,’ you got a problem, you’re not looking at yourself,” the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star shared.

“He’s got to get the help that he needs, and hopefully this a wake up call that could change everything for him … He could come back better, and actually have more than he had before. I love that kind of potential,” he said.

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
