Why Drake Has Been Sleeping On An Air Mattress
Who needs a bed when finalizing an album? Definitely not Drake.
The Canadian rapper recently revealed to Rolling Stones that he has been sleeping on an air mattress in a Toronto recording studio while finishing up his forthcoming album, Nothing Was the Same.
“We have just 10 days before we turn it in … I’m literally sleeping in the studio on an air mattress. We’re working 24-hour days to make sure the story is done, front to back. It has to be a new point of discovery,” the rapper told the publication.
Drake’s third studio album, set to release on September 24, will feature big names including Jay Z, 2 Chainz, and Lil Wayne. The rapper will also feature his father on album.
The 26-yaer-old’s father, Dennis Graham, will lend his voice on a bonus track titled, “Heat of the Moment.” In an interview with XXL, Drake dished on featuring his dad on the song.
“My dad is a star, that’s what you have to understand. I can call my dad right now and be like, “Yo, dad, I need you to fly to shoot.” He’s always down. I’m living my dad’s dream. My dad wanted to be a famous singer. I have my dad on another bonus record on the album called ‘Heat Of The Moment,” Drake shared.
