Bruno Mars Set To Headline Super Bowl Half Time Show?
We can’t say we saw this one coming, but Bruno Mars has been tapped to headline the Super Bowl halftime in February. The official announcement is expected to be made later today.
Beyonce was the star of this year’s Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans, where the Baltimore Ravens beat the San Francisco 49ers 34-31.
Some recent halftime performers at the NFL’s championship game were Madonna in 2012, The Black Eyed Peas with Usher and Slash in 2011 and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in 2009.
The halftime show slot is usually reserved for more established artists, so it will be interesting to see the response to someone with a young career like Bruno landing the spot.
