Robin Thicke’s Mom On Miley Cyrus’ Twerking: “I Can Never Unsee That”

Published

You can add Robin Thicke’s mother to the list of people bothered by Miley Cyrus’ MTV VMAs performance. Miley made headlines earlier this week after she gave one of the most overtly sexual and disturbing performance in TV history, a performance that included her touching herself inappropriately with a foam finger and twerking on married singer, Robin Thicke.

Thicke’s wife, actress Paula Patton, didn’t seem too bothered by all the craziness, but Thicke’s mom certainly was. Gloria Loring sat down with our friends at OMG! Yahoo! to discuss Cyrus’ dancing with her son.

“I just keep thinking of her mother and father watching this. Oh, Lord, have mercy. … I was not expecting her to be putting her butt that close to my son. The problem is now I can never ‘unsee’ it,” she said. “Him? Loved it. I love that suit, the black and white suit. I don’t understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do. I just don’t understand. I think she’s misbegotten in this attempt of hers. And I think it was not beneficial.”

We think you’re right, Ms. Loring … and so does the majority of people who watched that ratchet performance.

Music’s most amazing night went down Sunday at the Microsoft Theater in L.A. and we have to say the night was all about the ladies!

That’s right the 45th American Music Awards had some major moments and some major girl power starting with Pink and Kelly Clarkson.

The duo got the show started singing R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts”, but it was their solo performances that had fans going nuts.

Kelly Clarkson returned to the stage and had everyone on their feet with a medley of her classic tracks and new single “Love So Soft.”

While Pink took her career to new heights leaping off the side of a building while performing her hit single “Beautiful Trauma.”

Christina Aguilera, paid tribute to Whitney Houston with a commemorative performance for the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard.

But the #Majah moment of the night had to be Diana Ross. The Motown legend was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, and performed some of her greatest hits before accepting the honor.
