Celebs React to Kendrick Lamar’s Lyrics at Big Sean’s Listening Party

Published

“He’s one of the greatest of all time” were the words r&b singer Jhene Aiko used to describe Kendrick Lamar while at Big Sean’s listening party in Hollywood this week. The singer was giving us her reaction to Kendrick’s verse on Big Sean’s “Control,” a verse that has the hip-hop world in a frenzy.

Moet Chandon held a private VIP listening party for Sean to celebrate the release of his sophomore album, Hall of Fame. The Detroit rapper talked about his album and the hard work he put into the project, but he couldn’t dodge the one question every one wanted to know: What was his reaction when he heard his name on Kendrick’s Verse?

“When I first heard it, it was like funny to me, cause I was like is he really gonna name drop, but it’s hip hop and it’s a sport.” This verse was just a simple reminder that hip-hop has been and always will be a competitive sport, so bring it on!

Sean was surrounded by good friends like Kevin Hart and Lance Gross, and of course, his girlfriend Naya Rivera at his album listening party. Stars on the red carpet also gave us their reactions to Kendrick’s verse. Check out what the celebs had to say below.

Is Trey Songz Completely Out Of Control?!

Published

on

Trey Songz used to be a singer known for sexually suggestive lyrics and his panache for saying “yuuuup.” Now, he may be known more as an R&B singer with a possible rage problem…

Trigga Trey has been accused of smacking a girl in the face with her own phone and now that accuser is suing for $50,000. The unidentified woman says that while at Philadelphia’s Vanity Grand Cabaret strip club she sought to get a snapshot with the singer, but he didn’t oblige. Instead, according to the woman, he pushed her phone back into her face and caused her glasses to break.

If true, this isn’t Trey’s first time getting way too aggressive for no d@mn reason. Just last year he became so upset over authorities ending his show in Detroit that he threw microphones and speakers from the stage. Unfortunately, he also injured a police officer in the process. In August, he reached a plea deal in that case and got his felony assault charge reduced to just two counts of disturbing the peace.

So, back to the fan who just wanted a photo. It looks like she’s only seeking coin and not criminal charges. And in Songz’s defense he does take pictures with some fans (see below), so maybe it was just the way she asked.
