Sorry Kanye, but it appears folks are already over Yeezus. Album sales for Kanye West’s sixth studio album declined by 80%, dropping it from its No. 1 debut to No. 3 this week. The album sold 327,000 units in its first week, but only 65,000 during its second week on the charts.
The drop is the fourth-largest for a No. 1 since 1991. The biggest overall decline is owned by Madonna’s MDNA that took a 87% dive in its second week. Kanye can most likely blame no lead single, bad reviews and pirating on his dramatic decline.
As for other chart news, Wale landed his first No. 1 album, selling 158,000 units in its first week. Congrats.
