NeNe Leakes Fires Back After Wedding Planner Lawsuit
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes fires back after a wedding planner claimed Leakes never paid her after she helped plan Leakes’ lavish $1.8 million dollar wedding.
According to Tiffany Cook, Leakes agreed to pay her 15% of the whole wedding budget, but it never happened. In a lawsuit filed in Georgia, Cook claims the reality TV beauty did pay the $18,750 down payment, but has yet to fork over the remaining balance. Tiffany is suing for suing for $2.5 million.
NeNe took to her Twitter account over the weekend to address the allegations, claiming she never worked with Cook. “I was just thinking, should I wear my wedding dress 2 court,” Leakes wrote.
“Here’s a photo of me, Gregg & our wedding planner Tony Conway! I can’t b telling the truth because all I do is lie,” she wrote in another tweet.
“This mess is so fraudulent I can’t stop tweeting! Imma bout 2 lay my clothes out 4 the first day of court,” Leakes added.
HipHollywood reached out to NeNe’s rep who told us that, “Ms. Cook’s lawsuit has no merit and it appears to be a baseless attempt to grab fifteen minutes of fame after Ms. Cook and her company were terminated early in the planning process.”
NeNe married ex-husband Gregg Leakes in Atlanta this past June, and her journey down the aisle again can be seen on this falls I Dream Of NeNe: The Wedding on Bravo.
