Keyshia Cole’s Husband Arrested, Charged With Battery

[UPDATE]

2:17 P.M. PST: Daniel Gibson’s camp sent HipHollywood the following statement: “Earlier this month during the Essence Music Festival, I was involved in an incident with other individuals while I was out with my wife. It’s unfortunate that some see opportunity in taking advantage of people who work hard for what they have achieved. In order to get the matter resolved, I voluntarily turned myself into authorities in New Orleans. I live for two things: my family and the game of basketball. For my son and other kids who look up to me, I try to be a positive example. I hope I can raise my son in a world where people have self-respect and can respect each other. I hope this matter will be resolved as quickly as possible, so I can focus on things that are important in my life. Once all the facts of the incident come out, I expect to be fully vindicated.”

1:30 P.M. PST: The New Orleans Police Department tells HipHollywood that Gibson is accused of “punching a St. Rose man at about 5:15 on the morning of July 8th at a club in New Orleans. As a result, the victim suffered a fractured jaw bone, and received medical treatment.  A verbal exchange apparently prompted the incident.”

Details behind Gibson’s case is not currently available, but there are some reports that the alleged incident happened at the Essence Festival in New Orleans earlier this month.

Story is still developing.

Will also snapped some fun flicks with his son Jaden before greeting fans and speaking with reporters including HipHollywood.

He told HipHollywood that he was super excited to reunite with his Suicide Squad director David Ayer for the film, and would “work with him whenever he wants to.

“I love his madness how he creates,” gushes Smith. “How he thinks about scenes, the way he works with actors, it’s some of the best psychological work of any director I’ve ever worked with.”

In the film Smith plays an LAPD cop in a mythical world of orcs, elves and fairies … and Ayer told us, he couldn’t think of anyone better for the role.

“We had such a good time on Suicide Squad together and this role is kind of perfect for him, it’s an edgy movie, buts it’s funny. He’s got the best sense of humor of anybody I know.”

BRIGHT debuts on Netflix December 22. Peep the newest trailer below.
